Artist Statement
I continue to explore ways of creating an “other world” sense of place in my paintings. The work has strong references to land, sea, and sky. They are ‘scapes reduced to the bare elements to evoke
the feeling of a general place rather than a specific location. On the lighter side, I make animals from wire and found metal, creating fun, unique critters who are busy doing silly things.
